Case Study: Crosswinds Townhouse Association
CHALLENGE
The Crosswinds Townhouse Association in Lakeville, Minnesota wasn’t happy with their previous property management company. The company was small, so the same person was in charge of managing the community and performing maintenance. But this model didn’t work—the lone person couldn’t keep up with the workload. Crosswinds was also struggling to collect delinquent assessment fees from residents. Needless to say, the previous management company didn’t have time or resources to handle collections, too.
SOLUTION
Crosswinds left their old property management company behind and hired Community Development. With a skilled Community Manager at the helm, we coordinated all of the services that Crosswinds needed, from repairs to collections.
Lincoln Hancock Construction, a Community Development partner company with 30 years of construction expertise, addressed maintenance requests quickly and professionally. We also linked Crosswinds with our collections attorney to help recoup delinquent payments. Since then, “We’ve definitely noticed a return on investment,” said Deb, a board member. “There are no similarities with the previous company. Community Development has no problem keeping up with the work demands.”
